STUDENTS AND STAFF TEST ON MONDAY EVENING

In preparation for the extended holiday weekend, students and staff in attendance today were provided take home test kits. We are asking everyone to take a home test on Monday, Febuary 21st prior to returning to school on Tuesday. If you test positive, you must notify the Attendance Office and you should log the test result into Primary Health. If you have never tested at one of our testing sites, please use one of the links below to register. One registration is good for the school year.

Please register no later than 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 19th so you receive an important message from the district through Primary Health with instructions on how to administer the test and upload your positive test results, if applicable.

You will receive communication through Primary Health on Sunday, February 20th with a link to report the result of your test.

South Bay Families Connected: Focus on youth wellness

Finally, after a full year of distance learning, some students have, understandably, experienced the return to in-person learning as a social challenge. PVPUSD partner South Bay Families Connected (SBFC), a network of 115 schools in the South Bay, has organized Teaching Social Skills: Resources for Parents and Guardians, which contains a video featuring students at local schools, including PVPHS’s own Rhys Moon and Amanda Rucker, sharing their perspectives regarding the social ups and downs of returning to in-person learning. There you will also find some useful tips to support your children and teens as they develop and refine their own social skills. For related resources, please visit the SBFC Healthy Relationships Page. The SBFC Virtual Teen Center contains a wide variety of mental health and wellness topics. To see more youth wellness resources provided by PVPUSD and SBFC, please visit our own PVPUSD Families Connected
Sincerely,

Dr. Brent Kuykendall
Principal
