Weekly Newsletter 10/21/2022

Dear Parents,

Our students are gearing up for a Spooktacular time by making Halloween decorations. Wednesday, October 26th, our students will take part in our annual Halloween Happening. There will be a day filled with Halloween stories, art projects, making bags of treats for homeless kids, and our costume parade. Parents, please check for your child's class time on the whiteboard outside the school. Although parents are invited, due to insurance restrictions, we cannot allow siblings who do not attend our school.

If you have not done so already, please send in a bag of candy for our homeless project and a bag or box of non-candy treats for our costume parade. Please send your child to school on October 26th in their Halloween costumes. Please remember no masks, weapons, or toys. Please be sure to send a change of clothing for after the parade.

This week I attended a 3-day childcare management summit in Nashville. I learned so many things to support my staff and make our school even better. At the conference, I met a wonderful music and movement instructor that does a virtual movement class. I have hired him to work with our students starting in November. It is done on a zoom platform so we can send the recordings to our families to watch at home. Stay tuned, I know everyone will love this program. There will be no charge for this enrichment program.

Finally, our Family Business Spotlight for this week is KIDDZ Sense. The mom of Oliver and Olivia Vacca has a company that creates sensory boxes. She will be setting up a table in front of the school on Friday October 28th to offer them to our parents for sale. To make it easier for parents, if you wish we can bill your Brightwheel accounts.

Thank you to my administrative team who took care of the school in my absence.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Beth Rosenthal Davis, Ed.S, NBCT
