The Glades Initiative's Food Pantry is available to anyone in need. Residents may come in once per week at any time during the hours listed below. In a “Pantry of Choice”, you choose the foods that you want and need (within guidelines).

Do You Need A Valid Photo ID? The Community ID of the Palm Beaches is for ANY resident who may have limited access to government-issued forms of identification, and for those who support a diverse and inclusive community. It is not a government-issued form of ID or a driver’s license, but it is a verifiable form of identification that says you are a part of our community. It can be used as a tool by law enforcement, city agencies, health centers, schools, and businesses to better identify, serve, and protect you.

An interactive tool using Google Maps to help people easily locate free food and hot meals in Palm Beach County. This online tool was created to connect individuals seeking food resources to sites near them. Information is English, Spanish, and Creole. United Way updates the information listed on this map weekly. However, locations and hours of distribution may change. Please consider calling the site prior to visiting to verify the information listed. Please note that sites may have specific requirements such as ID.

Requesting Mail Ballots
The deadline to request that a Vote-by-Mail ballot be mailed to you is this Saturday, October 29th at 5:00 p.m. Our Main Elections Office will be open Saturday to serve you. A mail ballot may also be picked up in person at one of our four offices until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2022. Under emergency circumstances, your ballot may be picked up in person on Election Day.

In Need of Masks? Contact The Glades Initiative, Inc.
If you or people you know need masks, The Glades Initiative has masks and will share them with anyone in the Glades who needs them. These are the white two-ply reusable washable masks given by the health department. Call or come by to pick them up as long as supplies last.
If you are with a group of vulnerable people and need more than 20, call us first and we will do our best to help you get what you need.
