A message from the Principal
Spring is such a wonderful time of the year for students to showcase their efforts. Recently our students performed the Lion King for our Spring Musical. Our bands, orchestra, and choirs are also showing what they know and have worked on all year by sharing their musical talents with the St. Louis Park Community as well.

Please see some of the pictures of our performers below of the Spring play, band, and orchestras performing.

We are proud of their accomplishments as we support and celebrate their success.

Go Park Go!

MS Culture Day
A group of students brought the idea of recognizing and celebrating different cultures within our school to MS administration. After collaborating with teachers the idea of creating a Culture Day was born. Today, 60 students shared their culture with a parade during Advisory. This is an excellent example of student voice as well as coming together as a school community.
** Important ChromeBook Return Information**
ALL 8th Graders will need to turn in their ChromeBooks and chargers at the end of the school year beginning on Friday, June 3rd.

All digital content from 8th Grade teachers will end on Thursday, June 2. 8th Graders will not need their computers after this date. ChromeBooks will be checked and turned in during Advisory.

6th and 7th Grade students who do not wish to hold on to their ChromeBooks for the summer, or students who are unsure if they are returning for the 2022-2023 school year will have an opportunity to turn them in on Wednesday, June 8th or Thursday, June 9th. Those who don't turn them in will be expected to bring them to school next fall.
Transportation Changes for 2022-2023 School Year
As a part of districtwide budget reductions, St. Louis Park Public Schools will be making several changes to student transportation for the 2022-23 school year. Transportation is a vital part of the day for many of our students and families. Reductions in transportation and other non-classroom areas will allow the district to reduce the impact of reductions on classrooms and programs. The transportation changes will result in budget savings of $325,000.

In the coming days, the district will begin to communicate with families who are impacted by these transportation changes. A summary of the changes is included below:

  • Expanded no bus zones for students residing in St. Louis Park, including the establishment of a no bus zone for Park Spanish Immersion Elementary School.
  • Condensed bus stops for secondary students.
  • Expanded no bus zones for students who open enroll from Minneapolis.
  • New elementary school boundaries for Minneapolis students.
  • High school students and families will be asked to opt-in for transportation.

Youth Enrichment Opportunities

Summer Opportunities for Middle School Students from YEP (Youth Enrichment Programs)

*We have a great selection of Summer Camps that are available for Middle School students, click the links on each camp to see the full details!*

Camp Invention:
Camp Invention needs some Leaders In Training for the week of August 15. The Leaders-in-Training (LIT) position is a summer opportunity for students entering grades seven through nine. LITs build leadership skills in a dynamic, invention-based setting while mentoring children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Through the program, LITs gain and practice leadership and teamwork skills, act as role models for younger participants, and earn to set and meet personal and team goals. Questions, please reach out to Tammy Englund ([email protected]) or Kelleen O'Brion ([email protected])
