Linking Seniors to Medicare Fraud Solutions

Ensuring seniors have the essential tools and resources to make informed decisions is crucial in protecting them from Medicare scams. The Senior Medicare Patrol of New Jersey (SMP-NJ) program excels in this mission.

On September 9th, SMP-NJ attended the Rahway Health Fair providing valuable information to community members on how to detect, prevent, and report Medicare fraud and abuse. In 2022, our SMP-NJ staff and volunteers educated 16,081 individuals on the importance of safeguarding their Medicare benefits to prevent fraud.

One of their notable achievements was the recoupment of $10,500 for Medicare beneficiaries, underscoring their commitment to protecting the healthcare rights and resources of seniors in New Jersey.
