NER FJMC Annual Meeting 2021

Wednesday, May 26 at 7pm

Please join us virtually at the 2021 Annual Meeting at which we will thank our outstanding departing Regional Board Officers, recognize the many accomplishments of our Region's clubs, and elect and welcome our new Regional Board slate.

Our special speaker this year is Meron Reuben, Consul General of Israel to New England. Ambassador Reuben has been the new consul general since November 2020.

The meeting will begin at 7:00pm with minyan followed by Ambassador Reuben's talk at 7:30. The business meeting and board election will begin around 8:15. Only members of NER clubs in good standing are permitted to vote according to our by-laws. Everyone is invited to hear the speaker.

Lots of great things are happening. Join us to hear this speaker as well as to talk about exciting new plans and events for next year. Finally, participate in the voting for the 2021-2022 NER Executive Board (see below).

Registration is free (below) but required to attend. You will get the Zoom link when you register, As always, your donations to help the Region are appreciated and can be made when you register.

Ambassador Meron Reuben

Ambassador Meron Reuben has served as the Consul General of Israel to New England since November 2020.

Ambassador Reuben has a diplomatic career spanning over three decades, during which he has served in various positions, including roles at the Israeli embassies in Chile and Mexico, and as Ambassador to Paraguay, Bolivia and Colombia.

Ambassador Reuben served as Israel’s ambassador to the UN between 2010-2011, and as Israel's Chief of State Protocol from 2015 to 2020.

Ambassador Reuben was born in South Africa in 1961, and immigrated to Israel from the UK in 1974, where he studied Diplomacy and International Relations at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. During his military service, Ambassador Reuben was an air traffic controller in the Israeli Air Force.

Ambassador Reuben is father to Jen and Liad, and partnered to David.
