Without water life cannot exist. The average American family uses approximately 550 gallons of clean, safe water each day to bathe, flush toilets, cook, water plants and drink. In contrast, the average Tanzanian family uses 5 gallons of water daily that most walk several miles to acquire.
The Toloha Children’s Home, which will eventually house around 400 children, has no ready access to clean, safe water. Currently, someone walks 5 miles carrying a 5 plastic gallon bucket to retrieve water. And this water would not be considered “safe” by our standards.
Our church has partnered with the children’s home to help them gain access to a well of their own. This project is already under way - the hydrological survey was completed this week and revealed two possible locations for a well. Depth estimates to source clean water are approximately 300 feet!
The estimated cost for this project is between $25,000 and $29,000. This cost includes drilling, the water pump, solar power panels and large water tank and stand. Will you help support these children and provide clean water for them? So far, we have raised $6658.
“The King will reply, truly I tell you, whatever you do for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” - Matthew 25:40

As your pastor, let me urge you to give to this project. This may be the best investment that you make in 2021. It has the potential to bring physical and spiritual flourishing to a community in Tanzania that is in great need. You can make your checks out to Rainbow and write Toloha Well Project. Thank you for your consideration.
