December 2020 | Issue 2
From My Desk to Your Inbox

As 2020 winds down, I can't help but reflect on the comradery our Mayfield Heights community has shown one another. Stories of neighbors helping each other, the community supporting small businesses, and the businesses supporting frontline workers were many. The challenges of this year brought out the best of our city and we should all be proud!

In the face of change, we grew. Ingenuity led to adapted programs and new services for our residential and business communities. One example is the creation of the Small Business Relief Fund Grant. Funded by CARES Act dollars, the Small Business Relief Fund Grant will provide thirty (30) - $2,500 grants to businesses profoundly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Small business owners are encouraged to apply for the grant. You will find the application here.

An adaption of our Annual Santa Breakfast will round out our year. The special Santa Surprise planned for Saturday, December 12, is explained by Mrs. Claus here. Look for other event information on the Parks & Recreation Facebook page.

Happy holidays! May 2021 bring you good health and much happiness.
