Grounding: A Lent Series

Lent is a time for us to pause and prepare our hearts for Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Over 40 days, we consider a foundational tenet of the Christian faith: we are all in need of a Savior. Lent is a grounding season. During this series, we are invited to find our grounding by remembering our human frailty, God’s ultimate redemption and the significance of Jesus’ loving sacrifice.

Week 3: A Higher Helper
God is our source of safety in a world that can be filled with fear. On our journey of faith, we can trust that God is able to deliver and protect us from all that may come against us.

Sunday, March 7 at 10:00 a.m.

Sunday, March 21 at 1:00 p.m.
Outdoors on the church lawn

Join us for a walk through Holy Week with a Palm Parade, stories from
eye witnesses, songs and celebration. We will have a cross at the service for children to place a note on with a hope for the future or a joy they have. Download this pdf if you would like to create your note ahead of time. Our mission opportunity will be to support Exodus World Service. Diapers size 5 & 6 are welcome for donation at the service.

Session 2: "Ransom Jesus Sets You Free"

Join us via Zoom on either Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings as we gather with other area Presbyterian churches in this six-part Lenten series.

In Savior: What the Bible Says About the Cross, Magrey deVega describes the need for reconciliation between humankind and a holy God through Jesus’ death on the cross. By exploring the mystery of salvation through the cross, we can deepen our love for God and others and strengthen our commitment to follow Jesus.

Register using the links below to receive the Zoom codes for each session.
Lenten Devotional

This year's Lenten Devotional offers commentary, poetry, visual art and coloring pages, and is available in digital and printed form. Request your devotional here.
Lenten Community Art Project
As we journey through the season of Lent, we are offering the opportunity to participate in a community art project. You are invited to add your personal lament to the large center black panel of the art piece located in the Rotunda. Using a provided marker and a piece of burlap fabric, you'll be able to write your own personal lament and nail it to the center panel. The Rotunda will remain open following worship until 12:30 p.m. each Sunday until Easter. If you'd rather submit your lament electronically, you may do so anonymously, using this link.
