ISTAT Community Supports the ISTAT Foundation at South Florida Gold Tournament
Earlier this month, the aviation community came out in support of the ISTAT Foundation at the South Florida Golf Tournament in Plantation, Florida. A big thank you to all tournament sponsors and attendees for their continued support of the Foundation and its giving programs. ISTAT Foundation Launches Applications for 2022 Humanitarian and Grants Programs
The ISTAT Foundation is now accepting applications for its Humanitarian Aid and Grants programs. Please share this information with organizations could benefit from the support and offerings for the following programs:
- The Humanitarian Aid Program provides grant funding for global humanitarian organizations using the power of aviation to promote human welfare and alleviate suffering. Qualifying organizations include those registered as a charitable, nongovernmental entity focusing on aviation-related humanitarian prevention, relief and/or recovery efforts for: natural disasters (drought, floods, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, etc.); human-generated disasters (conflict, social, industrial/transport accidents, etc.); or health-related crises. Applications are open through Thursday, 1 September 2022. All applicants will be notified of the status of their application no later than Monday, 31 October 2022.
- The Grants Program offers aviation-related grant funding to global organizations that advance commercial aviation, including programs aimed at introducing the aviation industry to a diverse group of constituents and educational platforms such as museums, summer camps and workshops. Applications are open through Monday, 2 May 2022. All applicants will be notified of the status of their application no later than Friday, 29 July 2022.

ISTAT Appraising - An Introduction at ISTAT Americas
As part of ISTAT Americas, the ISTAT Appraisers Program will once again present ISTAT Appraising – An Introduction for those interested in the practice of appraising or learning more about appraisals and what they mean. Plan to attend this event, Sunday, 6 March from 15:30-17:00 in the La Jolla room at the Manchester Grand Hyatt.
This complimentary session hosted by ISTAT Certified Appraisers features an inside look at the ISTAT Appraisers Program, aircraft appraisal fundamentals and steps to becoming an ISTAT Certified Appraiser. It will also address commonly asked questions about appraisals for those who use them.

Continuing Education
The IAP is planning its first in-person Con Ed for IAP Members since ISTAT Americas 2020. It is scheduled for the afternoon of Sunday 6 March, in conjunction with ISTAT Americas in San Diego.
Spring 2022 Certification Exams
The IAP is targeting the first week of May to conduct exams at testing centers to become ISTAT Certified Appraisers and Senior Appraisers.
