Cookies & Conversation
Capital Campaign Feasibility Meeting
Please join us this week for cookies and conversation as we explore the possibility of a Capital Campaign for our beloved church. As we celebrate our 125th anniversary, what better time to discuss ways we can grow and preserve our beautiful church and campus.

Meetings begin with a 15 to 20 minute presentation that outlines the church's needs, followed by discussion and member input.  Your attendance and participation are critical to help shape the future of Plymouth for this and future generations.

Meeting opportunities in Plymouth Hall:
May 22, Sunday at 11:15 a.m.
Nurturing Faith (Sunday School)
On Sunday mornings after the Children’s Moment during the 10:00 a.m. worship service, we will gather in McNaughton Hall to explore the Bible and its many stories. There will be hands-on crafts, music, drama and occasionally science experiments. Most of all, we plan to get to know one another and have lots of fun. So excited…can’t wait to see you!!!
Joyful Noise Children's Choir
Children ages 4 years old and above are invited to join our Children's Choir (Joyful Noise and Joyful Sound). We will meet for rehearsals in McNaughton Hall on Sunday Mornings from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. While our primary focus will be on voice, there will be an opportunity to add musical instruments.

We are so excited to restart this aspect of our music ministry with children under the talented leadership of our Director of Music, Gerry Brenes. If you have any questions, please contact Andrea Burt.

I am looking forward to sharing in this music ministry with your children.

Blessings!

Andrea Burt, Director of Children's Ministries

Update on the Macedonia Reading Program
Plymouth is committed to making a difference in the world and our city, using the myriad of gifts God has provided to us. In our own backyard, we are supporting a growing after-school reading program at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Coconut Grove in two ways: by supplying a team of dedicated volunteers and delivering significant financial resources... click here to read more.
If you wish to support our efforts at Macedonia or would like more information, contact Amy Shipley or Dickie Davis.
Plymouth Reaches out to Ukraine Refugees
Plymouth Church has raised to date about $30,000 to assist Ukrainians fleeing their war-torn nation to seek refuge in nearby Poland.

The effort to raise funds continues as millions of Ukrainians have become refugees since the Russian invasion began. At home they witnessed the deaths of civilians and the destruction of homes and cities.... Click here to read more.

Calling Potential Choir Members!
Come be part of the Plymouth Chancel Choir. We are one of Plymouth's many ministries that bring joy, comfort and meaning to all who participate. Whether you want to sing with us each week all year, only around the holidays, or just a few days in the summer, any time is a great time to participate. We generally meet Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m. in the choir room. Prior singing experience is wonderful, but not required. Please email Gerry Brenes if you are interested in joining.
Got Questions? Let's Talk...
Whoever you are or wherever you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here. And so are your questions! Whatever your questions, we want to hear from you. Your questions will help us plan for opportunities to come together in person, virtually or a combination of virtual and in-person to engage in conversations to nurture our faith. Look for the wooden box in the rear of the sanctuary or in the cloister garden to place your questions.  Looking forward to conversing. Blessings!
