The Embassy of Switzerland in Denmark, in collaboration the Danish-Swiss Chamber of Commerce DSHK and with Swissnex, is organizing an exclusive event on the future of education. Taking advantage of the Swiss and Danish education ecosystem, the event aims to bring together high-level experts and decision-makers to shed light on megatrends affecting our educational landscapes, such as AI, automation, the metaverse and the need for skilled labour. With this event, we strengthen the Swiss-Danish collaboration in education in a way that helps us to better calibrate our education systems for the future with a specific focus on vocational training. A flying dinner at the residence of the Swiss Ambassador in Denmark will follow the interactive discussion with selected guests.

About the speakers

Erik Swars is Head of International Affairs at the Swiss Federal University for Vocational Education and Training (SFUVET) since 2013.

Within the Swiss VET Academy he developed and implemented international training programs with focus on leadership, Swiss VET and pedagogy. In his role Erik works closely together with international organizations such as ILO or Global Apprenticeship Network GAN or as a UNESCO-UNEVOC network member.

He has worked at the EPFL and at Swiss Post. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Tübingen and an MBA from the University of Lausann. Erik is author of several articles and publications, among others co-author of the book “Vocational and Professional Education and Training in Switzerland”, published in 2016 in English and 2021 in Chinese.

Kasper Munk Rasmussen is the Head of Education at SMVdanmark.

Kasper works with educational and business policy analyses and with SME Denmark's political representation of interests vis-à-vis politicians and authorities. Kasper is responsible for education in SMVdanmark and works particularly with vocational education, apprenticeships and ensuring that companies have access to the necessary qualified labour so that they can contribute to growth and development throughout Denmark.

Kasper holds a cand. soc. from Copenhagen Business School and has experience from, among others, the Ministry of Education, the City of Copenhagen and several interest groups.
