The Northwest San Pedro Neighborhood Council is pleased to announce that grant applications are now being accepted. Priority will be given to applications focusing on programs addressing COVID-19, homelessness, domestic violence, and education. $10,000 total is available for this year’s distribution.

LA Youth Council - Deadline to apply Feb. 28
|

The Los Angeles Youth Development Department is excited to announce the first ever Olivia Mitchell LA City Youth Council. This youth-led council will comprise 30 young Angelenos ages 16-25 from all over the City of Los Angeles. Applications for our first Cohort will be open until February 28, 2022. What happens when we leave art making up to chance? Learn about Dadaism and the historical meaning of "chance" in art making. Create your own original artwork based on probability and exploration. Metro Service changes arriving on February 20
|
|
Like many organizations across the country, Metro has been facing staff shortages since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. Due to these staff shortages, Metro is making temporary service adjustments on Sunday, February 20, to most bus and all rail lines in order to provide our riders with more reliable and predictable service. Service levels will be slightly adjusted to significantly reduce missed service, and create shorter wait times and more room on each bus for our customers.

Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count February 23rd

The Homeless Count is held annually to analyze the trends of people experiencing homelessness. The annual Homeless Count is an essential component in getting vital information that helps provide an accurate picture of the state of homelessness in Los Angeles so that LAHSA can deliver services where they are most needed. It also increases general homelessness awareness with the public and increases engagement with leaders, residents, and stakeholders.
