China’s National People’s Congress continues its annual gathering. Besides discussing the turmoil resulting from Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Chinese lawmakers will release the country's latest economic goals and fiscal spending plans. Policy makers at the NPC, which runs concurrently with the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, have also stressed food security as a key issue for the nation this year, particularly after some crop prices rocketed in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
