Youth Ministry
Connect, study, serve, and have fun!
Join us next Sunday!
This Sunday will be our last online-only Sunday for youth ministry! From Sunday 14th, we'll be back in person for Youth Group and Confirmation, Sunday School will continue to be online though for the time being.

When we do go back to in-person everyone will need to pre-register again, and we will be limited to 10 people indoors or 25 outdoors. More information on the Signup Genius.

Looking ahead to this summer, please take a moment to complete this survey about your comfort levels for mission trip possibilities in July.

In the meantime, this Sunday looks like this:

10 am - Sunday School - we'll be continuing a new series this Sunday, looking at some of the parables that appear in Godspell Junior.

11 am - Youth Council, via Zoom.

4 pm - Youth group for a mix of games and conversation.

All three will be using the same Zoom link.

Updates on Youth Music Ensembles

Based on the Governor's announcement last week, in which outdoor gatherings have been raised to 25 people, we have some updates to report regarding our in-person music ensembles. The good news is that starting on March 14, Youth Strings Ensemble will be able to resume rehearsals at 4:00 in the sanctuary, and we will be able to start our outdoor Youth Choir rehearsals at 4:30 as we continue preparations for Godspell Junior. Please register for one or both of these on a weekly basis, by using the link that Andy provided above.

The bad news is that since we are still limited to 10 people indoors, we felt the need to postpone the return of handbell rehearsals until the fall. Both the logistics and the necessary splitting of ringers would make it too significant a hurdle to cross for the time being. Even so, please know that this decision was not made lightly. Tamara and all of us recognize how important handbells is to our youth music ministry, and we are very eager to resume this when the indoor gathering restriction allows us to.
Godspell Updates

Hopefully we have made it to the end of our virtual rehearsals, and are now heading to the quad on Reveille's campus on March 14! Thank you so much for enduring the challenging learning format to this point. Your near-perfect attendance in rehearsals so far inspires great confidence that we can pull this off! You will notice one slight change in the master schedule this week. Due to the unfortunate loss of handbells in March, we will begin rehearsing for the musical at 4:30 instead of 4:45 on March 14, 21, and 28. The other dates and times remain the same as originally communicated.

With the exception of a few cast members, we will not rehearse this coming Sunday. Since we are essentially skipping a week due to private school spring break, please spend some time with the learning resource for all musical materials, which can be found here. Everyone needs to be listening to the songs outside of rehearsal in order to more fully learn them, and we are asking for everyone to also begin watching and internalizing the group choreography clips in advance of our in-person rehearsals.
