The Reading Room's Grand Opening: Mission Dolores Academy New Library & Learning Center
The Reading Room’s grand opening at Mission Dolores Academy was a dream to attend and a project we are honored to be a part of! Our team collaborated with Ratcliff Architects and we were able to complete this project in just 3 weeks, talk about efficiency! This space is very special to us and we wanted to take the opportunity to talk about the significance of the Read to Achieve program that's behind the project.

Reading is a foundational skill that is easily taken for granted, but without good reading proficiency early in life, young learners struggle to keep up and are at risk for experiencing poor outcomes in their academic careers. The Golden State Warriors Read to Achieve program is conducted in partnership with Ross Stores on a mission to improve reading skills, especially 3rd grade proficiency. The goal of the program is to support reading in multi-faceted ways and spread awareness on the importance of reading as it is the foundation for learning for all.

We were thrilled to see champs Kelenna Azubuike and Tom Tolbert read books to the kids at the library and share about how reading influenced their lives!
The team at Be. Workplace Design wants to say a big thank you to all who were involved in making this dream a reality. Thank you Ratcliff Architects for partnering with us on this project. Let's continue to inspire a love for learning and spread awareness on the important of reading proficiency!
