From the Staff:
It’s finally summer! We have so much happening during the next few months that it’s impossible to list everything here. Our website will have all the details you're looking for. You can expect book groups, author talks, crafts, games, music, and more this summer. Miss Sheila has partnered with the AWS and Loyal Companion to have a Summer Program helping our furry friends. Dawn, Lesley, and Sam have got a mystery for the adults to uncover this summer! With ever-changing guidelines from the CDC, you will find both outdoor programs as well as virtual ones. Our number one priority this summer is to keep our patrons safe. On that note, we will still be keeping our mask policy and for those who would rather do curbside, that will continue to be available. Library materials no longer require quarantine. Don’t forget our Library of Things! Lawn games, puzzles, birding, and nature kits are all here to be checked out. Come in and say hello!

The Genealogy Room is available without prior restrictions.

Patrons are welcome to stay as long as they wish as long as everyone continues to be masked.

Opening the Community Room will be re-evaluated on July 1st.

The Children’s Room is welcoming one family at a time.

The Reading Room is open and newspapers and magazines are available.

Southern Maine Garden Club’s Annual Plant Sale will be held on our front lawn on Saturday, June 5th from 9-12

Our adult summer reading program begins June 21st and will run through August 21st. The next few months are going to be full of suspense and intrigue here at the library. We’ve got a whole new game board and some great adult crafts, but if you want to know the details you’ll have to come in and ask because ...It’s a Mystery!

Game Night In We are having a Virtual Game Party on Thursday, June 17th at 6:00 pm. Guided by live Hosts, this experience consists of a series of challenges and games that the group competes in. The games are all original group trials that will allow you to earn points for your team. Register for this event on our website. Space is limited so don’t wait to sign up!

Patio Knitting With Dawn will be on Tuesdays, from 3 to 4:30 pm outside on the patio. We suggest that you bring bug spray and sunscreen. Call us for a Zoom link in the event of rain. Any handcrafters are welcome to join the fun!

Adult Craft of the month is available to pick up on June 1st while supplies last. This month it is an adorable mason jar hummingbird feeder. Lesley will go live on Facebook on June 10th to walk you through the project.

Loves Books Actually….
Read any good books lately? Do you have some favorite titles or authors you would love to share with other readers? Ginnie’s new monthly book club will be an informal sharing of books that we will discuss round-robin. Everyone who would like to share a book can or you can just sit back and take notes.
