From the Desk of the STEAM Lab
This week in STEAM we brought the farm into the classroom! Through sorting and classifying we learned all about the healthy food that grows on farms, and all the work it takes from those who live on a farm. In our discussions about farming, we learned about the needs of water (irrigation), sunlight, and clean air to sustain growth on the farm. We also conducted a few experiments of our own: starting the growth process (germination) of apple seeds/corn kernels and making butter from heavy cream.

L'Dor Va'dor
We had a great time welcoming grandparents and special friends this week for a meaningful program where we unveiled our plans for our new prayer garden, which will feature a Gan Shalshelet - a lock garden - whose theme "Unlock Your Connection" was the inspiration for the Unlocking Prayer lecture and discussion hosted by Mrs. Rivkie Gottlieb, our Judaic Studies principal. Grandparents, special friends, and parents had the opportunity to decorate padlocks with inspiring messages which will be part of the growing installation that will help inspire prayers for generations to come at RMBA. Guests then enjoyed a sing-along with our early childhood students, followed by an art activity with our lower school students, where everyone took home decorated frames with their prayers of choice. Thank you to everyone who joined us!
