Dear Parents,
This week our VPK kids learned about living and non living things. They had a chance to make a terrarium and take it home. I was amazed at how much they knew about living and non living things when they came to see me in lab. Next week is Spring Break for Miami Dade Schools. We will remain open but it will be non instructional for any kids who attend. That said, kids who are out will not be counted absent for academic purposes.
Since our attendance will be low for "Spring Break" we are waiting to do our annual Spring Egg Hunt until Tuesday, April 6th. ALL FAMILIES are asked to send in 12 plastic eggs filled with NON CANDY items. Things like rubber balls, bracelets, stickers and other little trinkets are ideal. You can also do small bags of fruit snack any other NON CANDY items that individually wrapped. For those of you who do not have time to get the eggs and fill them, we will offer a dozen filled plastic eggs for $5. Simply sign up on the list outside the front door and we will bill your account $5 and send the eggs into the classroom for the event.
Since we cannot have parents on site for this, we will take lots of photos and put them in Brightwheel and on Facebook.
Next week we will be doing some construction in Silver Door. We are expanding the room so that the kids will have more space.
