Updates from the Principal
Welcome back! As we return to school tomorrow, we are so excited to finish out the year with you. Our seniors only have five weeks of high school left, and only 7 weeks until the next year for the rest of our students. After this challenging school year, know that I am so proud of how they have handled all the adversity of the past years and the drive they have shown to succeed and thrive here at Carondelet.
We will continue offering on-campus COVID testing. Mondays will be on-campus testing only for our athletes who need the faster turnaround, and we will continue with Wednesday testing for all students and families.
I hope that everyone was able to rest, recharge, and celebrate the joy of life over Easter Break. Know that your daughters provide joy for us each and every day. We cherish our time with our students and look forward to celebrating their accomplishments.
Kevin Cushing, Principal

Travel Updates
We know traveling is often a necessity and it is also a family decision; however, we do ask families to partner with us to lessen the possibility of spreading the virus to campus. California Dept. of Public Health issued a travel advisory on April 2nd that may answer your questions if you traveled during break.
If your family has been out of town and had interactions that would be defined as a close contact (within 6-feet for 15 minutes or longer), we ask that you/your daughter participate in a week of virtual learning at home upon return.
As with any close contact, we encourage you and your daughter to get a COVID test. Please be upfront with any travel arrangements and connect with Malisa Meemari or Caitlin Main i f you have any questions or concerns about you/your daughter’s return to campus after travel.

Celebrating our Juniors!
We canceled the junior event last month due to restrictive health guidelines, but we are finding other ways to celebrate the class of '22. We will host a special Class Spotlight on Wednesday, April 21. It is our goal to make the most of their senior year and celebrate them this year as upperclass-women. Thank you for your support this year.

AP Testing — May
After reviewing options from College Board, Carondelet and De La Salle decided that we will use Administration 1, the in-person Paper and Pencil test dates (May 3 - May 17).
The decision was made with students in mind. We want all students taking AP tests to be here, on our campuses, taking the tests. All COVID safety protocols will be followed and strictly adhered to. With that being said, if your student has a specific reason for NOT coming on campus to take the test, this form must be filled out by Tuesday, March 30.
Please note:
- World Language tests must be done in-person during the Administration 1 (May) testing dates. There are NO exceptions.
-
The optional online (at home) testing will be offered June 1 - June 11. Here are the dates and times.
- Given that these online tests will be offered in June (during summer break), there will be no technical support from either campus. This test will be taken on your own and you will be responsible for signing in.
- If you miss the first testing date, you will only have Administration 3 (at home, on-line) in which to make up your Exam (excluding Language Exams).
College Board has modified the testing criteria, and likely will continue modifying before the test dates. We will continue to update you as we receive information.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our AP Coordinator, Margaret Valdez.
