The Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce's Love Local campaign was inspired from American Express's Annual Small Business Saturday. We recognize that supporting local is much more than simply shopping and is something that needs to extend much further than just one day. We encourage people to love local always. Loving Local is vital to not only our business community, but our community as a whole and makes Seneca County the best place to live, work, and play!

We look forward to launching this year's campaign and educating our community about the importance of loving local. You can read more about last year's campaign here.

Celebrate the season with us! You're invited to a holiday party for our members. Enjoy light appetizers, 25% off drinks and networking. Please RSVP here.

Heidelberg University is embarking on a major capital project – construction of the long-awaited Student Athletics, Academic, and Recreation Center. This $28 million, donor-funded facility will transform and energize the campus. When completed, the 110,000-square-foot Center will serve ALL students with indoor basketball courts, a competition-level track and field space, a turf field, training rooms, locker rooms and classrooms, leadership development and team-building space, a lobby for events and social gatherings and an upper-level mezzanine for events and 2-sided viewing. Congratulations to Tom, Kevin, and Scott Maiberger, along with the entire TPC Food Service team on their new facility at 401 Wall Street in Tiffin!

Prior to this move TPC was under two separate roofs, one for dry storage and the other for office space and their refrigerated and freezer items. Since moving to the new facility, they are now under one roof housing all their products in one location, making a smoother and much easier operation not only for their warehouse workers, but every aspect of their business. Their square footage has also dramatically increased to 265,000 sq ft leaving room for additional growth opportunities.

They haven't stopped investing in their new facility to improve the business, including new office spaces, new concrete in the warehouse, painting, and more.

TPC Food Service has supplied quality products and services to Ohio and southern Michigan since 1952. They are family owned and, from the beginning, have been committed to the success of their customers.

TPC Food Service is an experienced and reliable broadline distributor. They offer the products their customers need with competitive pricing and personalized service for the right marketplace mix. TPC carries a well-balanced mix of nationally branded items coupled with their own top quality CODE Brand. Not only do they feature Ohio’s LARGEST selection of ice cream specialties, they also offer dry goods, frozen foods, produce, paper disposables, and janitorial/sanitary products. Welcome new member, Hickory Flat Trucking!

One of the owners, 20-year-old Evan Kuenzli, was born and raised on a small farm outside McCutchenville, where his family has a commercial hog operation and grows grain crops. His grandfather worked in the trucking and excavation business in Northwest Ohio for 35 years, and Evan's father had always dreamed of doing the same. During their harvest of 2022, the family started work on the side, hauling grain for other farmers to fulfill grain contracts. From there, they purchased a few trucks and established Hickory Flat Trucking in March 2023.

When working with Hickory Flat Trucking, you can always count on them to deliver unmatched service and quality labor. They primarily offer the transportation of grain, stone, and other aggregates. Their goal is to continuously grow and expand the business while maintaining the same family-owned quality and principles.

Hickory Flat Trucking is located at 9317 Township Highway 11 in McCutchenville. You can reach Evan at 419-310-3497 or Mark at 419-294-7004.

Join the Seneca Regional Chamber Ambassadors as they host a Ribbon Cutting in partnership with the City of Tiffin's Engineers Office to celebrate the reopening of the Ella Street Bridge in Tiffin, on Tuesday, November 28 at 4 PM.

The existing Ella Street Sandusky River Bridge was originally constructed in 1914 and was rehabilitated in 1979. An impressive 4,000 vehicles pass over the bridge daily, so this project has been on the City’s radar for many years. In 2022, the City of Tiffin finalized the design and solicited bids for the construction and construction administration and inspection contracts for the Ella Street River Bridge Replacement Project.
