On November 9, 2023, Attorney Yun Cheng and Attorney Echo Wang attended McDermott Will Emery’s 12^th Annual Life Sciences Deal-Making Symposium. They joined talks with senior-level group of decision makers across the life sciences industry - learning new knowledge and sharing insight about M&A, technology commercialization, licensing, data transfer and other areas that impact this constantly changing sector. 

New Federal Regulation - Affecting Almost All Companies in the U.S.

Starting January 1, 2024, all companies, with limited exemptions, incorporated and will incorporate in the United States are required to report their Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) with Financial Crimes Enforcement Network of United States Department of Treasurer (FINCEN) . The definition of Beneficial Owner is broader than shareholders. Companies are also required to comply with subsequent filings when changes to BOI occur.
