Jason Field Celebration!

The Jason Field Ribbon Cutting Ceremony is THIS Friday, March 26th. This ceremony holds great value for our school. It highlights our commitment to being a top Christian School with a great community of supporters, a commitment to providing suitable facilities, and that we have a culture of fellowship.

We are thankful for all the generous support in years past and specifically to this endeavor. We would love to celebrate this renovation of our soccer and baseball field in honor and memory of former student, Jason Knaupp (1971 – 1981).

Join us at Jason Field at 3:30pm to kick off the day with Kona Ice (for purchase, $3-$6). We ask that everyone shows their GCA spirit by wearing any GCA shirt or if you do not own one, wear blue!

Our amazing PE Teacher, Val Berry has some games planned for everyone in the family regardless of age. While you are not required to play, we encourage you to join in on the fun.

*All students must have an attending adult present for safety, students unattended will be asked to wait at extended care*

Official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to commence at 4:45pm with special guest speakers, Jonathan & Mary Knaupp (Jason’s parents).

Specific Location: Northeast end of Grace Community Church parking lot on Dorsey Road.

Famous Chicago Dogs Food Truck will arrive at 5:00pm. Available for purchase are hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, polish sausage and Italian combo sandwiches and a variety of chips, cookies and beverages. The hot dog meals start at $7 and include a snack and a drink.

Its picnic style eating, please bring your own chairs or blankets.

This will be a special day in GCA's history and we are excited to share it with you!

In Person Chapel is Back!

Friday Chapels are back in Davidson!

We are so excited to announce that chapel is back in person! At this time we are asking for limited attendance by parents and to please wear a mask. Please plan to join if you are parents of the following:

middle school worship band parents

Volunteer Hours

Have you been logging your volunteer hours? This is a reminder that you need 20 hours to be completed and logged by April 15th, or you will receive a charge on your bill.

Still need service hours? We have a few opportunities:

Volunteer help in setting up chairs in Davidson Center on Thursday afternoons at 2:30pm for chapel. This will count towards service hours for this school year until April 15. After that date, the hours can be counted towards next school year's hours.

Help removing staples from the old gym wall pads - ask office for details.

As more opportunities become available, we will let you know. Please reach out to your student's teachers as well...they can always use help!

GCA Campus Readiness Plan

The purpose of the Campus Readiness Plan is to clearly communicate expectations to all Grace Christian Academy stakeholders. One facet of these expectations is for our families to understand what the school expects of our families as we work together to maintain a safe environment on campus and defuse the fear and anxiety that exists around issues pertaining to Covid-19. The other facet of expectations is establishing an understanding of what our families can expect from the school.

Gracie's Thrift Store Donations

People can bring their donations up to Gracie's Thrift Store, located at 1520 E Apache Blvd., Tempe, AZ 85281. Gracie's Ministries is just one block West of McClintock Dr., so just right up the street. Gracie's is available to receive donations Monday through Saturday between 9am to 4pm at the Donation Door located on the North West corner of the building in the parking lot.
