Mission:
United by faith and service,
St. Anthony of Padua School community forms knowledgeable students who are moral and courageous Catholic leaders.
From Mrs. Pudelko:

  • Registration packets are going home with students Friday, January 14, 2021. The activities fee is built into tuition for the upcoming year and will cover the same costs as it did last year. If you have any questions regarding your registration, please do not hesitate to reach out to the office. We are waiting on information from the Diocese of Grand Rapids for Round1 and Round 2 of Bishop's scholarships and will send out financial aid letters as soon as that information is available to us.

  • We are officially halfway through the 20-21 school year! It has certainly been an adventure, but we have truly learned how resilient students can be. Our continues to work on perfecting our remote learning options and are so thankful that we have this option available for students who are home sick for extended periods, or if they need to be in quarantine due to exposure. We also know that students perform better when they are in person and are so thankful for the ability to have face to face learning throughout the beginning of this school year. Moving into quarter 3, we want parents to know that remote learning (Google Meets) is not necessary if a student will only be out one day, but they can certainly keep up on work posted in Canvas. If there is an illness or need to quarantine, please contact the office so we can determine the best plan for remote learning for your child. Thank you for your continued partnership and understanding as we navigate new ways of learning!

  • Friday, January 15 is the last day of quarter 2 - teachers are working on final grades and report cards will be posted at the end of the day January 22.

  • Parent teacher conferences are right around the corner. Conferences will be the evening of February 11 and during the day on February 12 (both a virtual and in person option will be available.) Students will have a virtual day of learning with work posted on Canvas on February 12. This is a change from our original calendar, but with continued concern of the spread of COVID and need to ensure proper time to sanitize classrooms, our Board of Education approved the adjustment for February conferences.

Follow the Leader!

Parents/guardians, teachers, principals, classmates and siblings are all important role models for young children. They DO notice what you eat and drink, and if you’re physically active on a regular basis. At school, we are talking about healthy habits and encouraging students to follow our lead. You can do the same by making healthy choices related to food and physical activity, and talking about them with your child(ren). Eating fruits and vegetables with and in front of your child(ren) is important. Choose ones you like, since kids can tell if you’re just pretending to like them. No one likes every vegetable; it’s OK to have favorites. Limit sugary drinks like pop, juice drinks and sports drinks. If your child shops with you, check the label and talk about what you find. Put fewer of the less healthy choices in your grocery basket. We can’t expect children to make healthy choices if we don’t!
