Global leadership in improving human performance & effectiveness in healthcare
The iEXCEL visualization team worked with the National Emerging Special Pathogens Training and Education Center (NETEC) to create virtual meeting spaces. Using virtual reality headsets, NETEC is now able to conduct live presentations together online.
March Highlights
Virtual Reality Clinical Training
This month, fifth and sixth-year fellows from the Department of Neurological Sciences led by Dr. Danish Bhatti tested pain medicine procedures using both mannikin simulation and virtual reality patient applications.
Nursing Statewide Connection
Students from the UNMC College of Nursing led by faculty Dr. Jane Miller connected across five campuses in real time for a test review on the iWall. Participants in Omaha were joined by students from Lincoln, Kearney, Scottsbluff and Norfolk.
Advanced Professional Training
The OrthoNebraska physician operation team lead by Dr. Noah Porter demonstrated the importance of surgical precision and practice during an endoscopic spine lab.
