Notes of Gratitude

The holiday season is upon us, a time of year that ushers in an attitude of gratitude. Business Affairs is excited to feature notes of appreciation written by Business Affairs team members for their colleagues. Planning & Construction Retreat

The Planning & Construction (P&C) team held their annual retreat on Nov. 3 at the University Gateway building, where they spent the day building team camaraderie and sharing inspiring ideas related to campus values, upcoming projects, and business processes.

Spotlight on Service

The Tropicana Parking Garage expansion project won Building Project of the Year in the $15-$30 million category at the Nevada Contractors Association’s 21st Annual Contractor of the Year Awards. 

Parking & Transportation Services (PTS) and Planning & Construction (P&C) worked together with McCarthy Building Companies to complete the expansion. The expanded garage has a total of 2,009 parking spaces across four levels, WiFi access, and electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, among other features.

Upgraded Campus AEDs and RMS Training

Risk Management & Safety (RMS) works closely with other departments/units to regularly implement safety measures and update safety equipment. The UNLV Athletics Department recently replaced Automatic External Defibrillators (AED), a show of UNLV's commitment to providing the latest safety equipment throughout campus.

Upgrading Your Digital Literacy

Google Workspace has added a new filter to Google Drive that allows users to see which files or folders have been shared with specific people or groups. This feature provides greater visibility into who has access to files.
