The results of the run-off Senate races in Georgia now give President Joe Biden a political trifecta (the White House, the Senate, and the House) which gives him plenty of opportunity to enact his agenda and push through legislation that may have faced roadblocks had it turned out to be a GOP-led Senate.

 

As we transition to a Democratic administration under President Biden, there are already signs of the battles that are on the horizon for the pest control industry.  We have been very fortunate in N.C. that over the last several years we have had few legislative bills that would have affected us adversely and none that passed.

 

That is about to change.  Last week the majority of states convened in regular session, and there have been a flurry of bills introduced that, if passed as written, will have major negative impacts on the pest control industry.

 

The top issues are:

NOW is the time to rally our troops and prepare for the battle BEFORE similar bills are introduced in N.C.  

 

NOW is the time for YOU to TAKE ACTION.  We need to create a network of NCPMA members, across the state, that will reach out to local representatives when bills are introduced that could adversely affect you or your company.  We are not asking you to join a committee, to be in meetings or attend events.  We are asking you (regardless of your position) to use your voice when and, if needed to provide information to your house or senate representative.
