Geneva Point Center UPDATE April 2021
April 2021

Dear GPC friends,

The snow, ice and mud have all disappeared. The annual process of turning on water systems, opening cabins and lodges, cleaning up the debris of winter and generally making Geneva Point Center ready for the summer is in full swing. We are excited to know that GPC will be a much more active place this summer than it was in 2020. Some of our long running annual youth and family camps are returning though most others will not return until 2022. In their stead, we have introduced GPC Family Camps and continue to offer opportunities for groups, families and special events. We hope to see you at GPC this summer.
A special invitation to GPC Family Camps
Was your camp or conference cancelled again this year?
GPC is still here for you.
A chance to relax and enjoy this place in a new way.

GPC Family Camps are designed to be flexible especially for those in your situation. Maybe you want to extend your time for a few more days or need to make it a shorter stay. Maybe you want to know more about program activities or COVID safety at camp or you have other questions. We can help with all that.

There is an online registration system. However, you are welcome and encouraged to start by sending a message to gpcfamilycamps@genevapoint.org or calling (603) 253-4366 ext. 208.

If you have not had a summer experience at Geneva Point Center, Family Camps are a great opportunity to discover this wonderful place.
Barn Project Progress Continues

Geneva Point Center’s Barn Project is making big strides. You can find lots of pictures of the project at genevapoint.org or on our Facebook page. Currently we are working on windows, doors and the roof.
We are so grateful to everyone who helped us surpass the initial $85,000 fund raising goal for the GPC Barn Project. With a little over $107,000 raised so far, we are well on our way to achieving our challenge goal to reach $120,000 by the end of June 2021. If you have not already contributed, you could still help. Every dollar you give helps the Barn Project and makes a dollar free to support other important GPC buildings or grounds projects.

Virtual Annual Meeting
Saturday, May 1, 2021
10:00-11:00 a.m. on Zoom
On Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Geneva Point Center will conduct a virtual annual meeting for current members in good standing. You are a current member in good standing if you are a Sustaining Member (automatic monthly giving) or you have made an annual fund membership gift in the previous twelve-month period.

The meeting’s focus will be on the long-term impact of the pandemic on Geneva Point Center. Our treasurer will present an annual report for the fiscal year that ended on March 31, 2020 and for the fiscal year that ended on March 31 of this year. Other agenda highlights include reports on Barn Project, the upcoming summer season of camps and conferences and the new GPC Family Camps. Members wishing to participate may register by following the link below.
We hope to see you (really see you) sometime this year at Geneva Point Center.

Many thanks and best wishes,
Peter Claypoole, Executive Director

New GPC Facebook Page
You may have noticed that posts on our old Geneva Point Center on Lake Winnipesaukee Facebook page have stopped. Facebook has recently made format changes that affected our page. Even if you can still see it, our old page will not function in the new format and we are no longer able to revert back to the old one.

So, we now invite you to find Geneva Point Center on Facebook. We hope to see you there.
