Smith College Museum of Art presents Maya Lin: Mappings through August 7. Lin's art aims to bring awareness to climate change as we experience its effects each day — "Using a variety of materials, including steel pins, marble, and bound atlases, Lin distills complicated scientific and quantitative information into resonant objects. These artworks open a dialogue between the artist and the viewer." The show complements the new Neilson Library, which was also designed by Lin. Smith College Museum of Art is located at 20 Elm St., at Bedford Terrence, Northampton, Massachusetts. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is closed on Mondays and on major holidays. For more information, please visit here.
