Members-only Lecture: Uncovering Dinosaurs in Hell Creek | 7:30pm | March 10
Take a deep dive into one of history's greatest ecosystems, the Hell Creek Formation in Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming. Members are exclusively invited to join us for this virtual presentation and discover the dinosaurs that inhabited this ecosystem with dinosaur enthusiast and Cranbrook Institute of Science Program Presenter, Timothy Urban. Triceratops, Edmontosaurus, and Tyrannosaurus are just some of the remains found in this region.
A Night With the Stars: Members Event |6:00pm | March 12
Join us for a night with the stars! Visit the Institute after-hours during this members-only event. Enjoy an exclusive show in the Acheson Planetarium, and a dynamic presentation from our Curator of Earth and Space Sciences. There will also be hands-on, space-themed activities, and children will be able to take their creations home. And you can view the night sky in the Cranbrook Observatory and try astronaut ice cream!

Seats are limited in the planetarium and the auditorium and will be available on a first-come, first served basis.

Full Moon | March 18
This full Moon was known as the Worm Moon because this was the time of year when the ground would begin to soften and the earthworms would reappear.

Vernal Equinox | March 20
The Sun will shine directly on the equator and there will be nearly equal amounts of day and night throughout the world. This is also the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere.
