Gift Card Drive
The PTC is sponsoring a Grocery Gift Card Collection drive in the month of October. All donations will go to the Secret Santa program sponsored by the Rotary Club, Pillars Community Health and the Park District of LaGrange. See Flier below for more details and drop off information. This is a great way to give back to our community members who need a little extra help during the holiday season.
Seeking Candidates for District 102 School Board

The Delegate Assembly, a non-partisan group of community members, is seeking interested candidates for the upcoming District 102 School Board Elections. The Delegate Assembly is charged with identifying, interviewing, and endorsing candidates for the District 102 School Board.

There will be 3 open seats, and elections will be held in April 2021. Board members serve a 4 year term. Candidates must live in the District 102 boundaries. More information on the responsibilities of the School Board can be found by clicking here.

Applications for endorsement are due on October 19, 2020. Click below for a link to the application:
If you have any further questions, please contact Melissa Dillenbeck at msdillenbeck@gmail.com or the Delegate Assembly at delegateassemblydist102@gmail.com.

Please share this information with anyone who might be interested. If you know someone who might be a good candidate, please encourage them to apply!
Virtual Bike Rodeo
Don't forget - Bike Rodeo forms are due Friday, October 16th! This year the Bike Rodeo for 3rd Grade students and new Cossitt 4th-6th Graders will be virtual. Please see the attached document for some bike safety information to review with your student as well as videos of practice activities, and a bike safety quiz. We look forward to seeing more bike riders going to and from school, and always make sure your kids wear helmets when they are biking!
Room Parents - LAST CALL

You still have THREE more days to sign up! Thank you to those who have already signed up. Zoom information sessions will begin this coming Tuesday, 10/13 so please be on the lookout for a Zoom invite coming soon! So far, a virtual Halloween costume parade, Jack-O-Lantern display in front of Cossitt and classroom gift bags are in the works. Please sign up!
Committee Volunteers
We are still looking for a few more volunteers for:

  • Building & Grounds Planning
  • Tiger Fun Run
  • Yearbook

We are a parent community, committed to supporting the school with resources, time and effort. It would not be possible to do all that we do without your support. Please consider signing up to volunteer for one of these programs taking place in the 1st half of the school year. If you have any questions about any of the volunteer opportunities, please contact Vanessa Prinz at vanessaprinz@gmail.com.
Spirit Wear
Don't Forget Every Friday is now designated as official COSSITT SPIRIT DAYS!
Be sure to wear your Cossitt spirit wear (examples: end of year event t-shirt, sweatshirt, etc). Whether you are hybrid or full remote, we can't think of a better way to come together as a Cossitt community by showing our COSSITT TIGER pride!

Comfy Tiger Flannel Pants, or a new Tiger Sweatshirt! Cossitt Spiritwear makes a great gift for the Holidays! Click the link below to start your design.

Birthday Books
Birthday books are back! When it's your child's birthday month, please click on the link below to order your birthday book. Going forward, these students will be also able to select another book for their 2021 birthday. Remember, if your child has a summer birthday, he/she gets their book on their half-birthday!
