ACMS Elections Begin Monday, October 30

Eligible ACMS Members are encouraged to vote in the 2024 Board of Directors and ACMS Delegation election. The election will open on Monday, October 30, 2023, and close on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. All eligible voting members will receive an email with a unique link to vote electronically. A list of candidates, their headshots, and CV's will be accessible directly through the ballot. Please reach out to mmayer@acms.org if you do not receive your voting link by the end of the day on Monday, October 30.

Allegheny County Immunization Coalition Conference: Back to Basics

Join ACMS President-Elect, Dr. Raymond Pontzer, a distinguished Infectious Disease Medicine physician, as he serves as one of the Featured Speakers for this year's conference.


The ACIC is a multidisciplinary group of professionals with a particular interest in immunization. Membership to the ACIC is FREE, but membership is not required to attend the conference. CME credits will be offered for this half-day conference.

In Memoriam: Carol E. Rose, MD - ACMS Member and First Female President of PAMED


The ACMS is saddened to announce that longtime ACMS and PAMED member of 40 years, Carol E. Rose, MD, passed away on October 16 after a courageous battle with cancer. Dr. Rose served on the PAMED Board of Trustees from 1992 to 2002 and served as PAMED's first female President from October 2000 to October 2001. 


Dr. Rose was a true champion of organized medicine. Her steady presence, kindness, and positive influence will be missed very much. Dr. Rose will be honored with a memorial resolution at the PAMED House of Delegates this upcoming weekend.
