We had an unusual amount of airline travel in October and are happy to be homebound for a while. We were interested in this review of a Federal Aviation Administration rule that could dramatically change non-airline travel in the United States. Maybe flying cars aren’t too far away!

Q: What’s going on in housing?

A: In our (small) market, median home prices have declined. Nationwide, existing home sales fell to their lowest level since 2010. Higher interest rates are starting to have a deeper effect on housing. This is good news for inflation watchers but potentially bad news for homesellers.

For a long time, short-term rates have exceeded long-term rates, but recent weeks have seen that change. The economy continues to grow, in spite of the higher cost of money and other challenges.
