More than a coffee shop: The Village Brew
With other villages and cities around the Southern Ohio area undertaking revitalization projects, Pike County also has a project underway within the heart of Piketon, as a historic school building takes on new life in an area of growth and development.

The restored Piketon Elementary School building and the new developments around it, named “The Square at Piketon”, is located at 425 E. Second Street, Piketon, Ohio 45661.

Stepping into the renovated school building, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafts through air as light pours through huge glass windows inviting visitors into The Village Brew, Pike County’s first locally-owned coffee shop.

Spring has arrived at
Way Farms!
Spring has finally arrived at Way Farms, well, after a couple of chilly evenings last week! WOWSERS! We lost a few plantings of tender, spring greens, but most of our vegetables came through the cold spell just fine.

At this time, we have three acres of our delicious, tender bicolor sweet corn planted and we plan on covering it with our tunnels in the morning. Be sure to follow our Facebook page as we will post videos and photos of the day-long process.

Lastly, we have planted one high tunnel of over 300+ tomato plants and have started preparing our second high tunnel for tomato planting later this week. We have added two additional tunnels on the farm to increase our tomato production so HOPEFULLY we will have a higher supply at all of our markets this season.
