Community Information Sessions

Comprehensive School Safety

The Community Information Sessions on Comprehensive School Safety were meant to inform the community of what we have implemented, where we are now, and our next steps regarding school safety. Here's a slideshow for those who were unable to attend an in-person information session. In addition, there's a pdf summary of the questions we received and an opportunity to ask additional questions via a Google Form.

Community members wanting to address the FVSD Board of Trustees regarding components of school safety, including perimeter fencing, may do so at a regularly scheduled meeting. Our next meeting is on April 6, 2023.

We Tip

Anonymous Tip Line

The FVSD anonymous tip line is manned 24/7. You can call or text the phone number, use the QR code or the link on each school site's webpage to file a report. These tips are sent to the appropriate people to help ensure the safety of our students. If you need assistance with your child at school, please get in touch with the teacher and/or principal directly.

The Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) is a tool that California school districts use to set goals, plan actions, and leverage resources to improve student outcomes. We need your input to refine and develop our LCAP. Complete the anonymous 2023-24 LCAP Input Survey because we want to hear from you.

Out of District Transfers

www.fvsd.us/apps/pages/transfers

Families interested in transferring into the Fountain Valley School District have the opportunity to do so through an inter-district transfer request. The window for accepting inter-district transfer requests opened on March 1st. Students wishing to transfer into FVSD should complete an inter-district transfer request first with their home district. If approved, this request will then be forwarded by the home district to FVSD. Families will be notified by our Business Services staff if their transfer has been approved based on program availability. Inter-district transfer agreements are valid only for the school year granted; the agreement expires at the end of each school year and must be renewed annually.  Priority will be given to families that have submitted their inter-district transfer forms by April 30, 2023.

More information regarding inter-district transfer requests can be found on our website.
