Men's Monthly Golf Outing

Saturday, October 28

All men ages 16 and older who enjoy playing golf are invited to come play a round of golf at Monroe Country Club on Saturday, October 28, 2023, with tee times beginning at 11:00 am. There are only 20 spots available, so if you are interested, please sign up her to secure your spot by clicking here. The fee is approximately $50. Campus Outreach Staff

During evening worship Sunday, October 29

We hope you will join us during the evening service tonight, October 29, 2023, to hear testimonies from our Campus Outreach staff of God’s grace from the past year! Our Charlotte area staff will be sharing stories of evangelism, discipleship, and international student ministry. Please make plans to join us for this service celebrating God’s goodness and faithfulness to the next generation!


Following the service, there will be a cookie fellowship in the main lobby of the worship center where Campus Outreach staff will be available to interact with you. We hope you will join us!

Women's Ministry Girls' Night Out

Monday, October 30

Join Women’s Ministry for our next Girls’ Night Out on Monday, October 30, at 6:00 pm, at Tacos 4 Life, in the Arboretum (address is 3351 Pineville-Matthews Rd #300, Charlotte, NC 28226). This is always a fun time of casual fellowship and delicious food at a local restaurant. The only cost is the cost of your dinner!

Ministry to Men Fellowship Breakfast

Saturday, November 4

On Saturday, November 4, at 7:00 am, our monthly Men’s Fellowship Breakfast will be held in a new location. A buffet breakfast will be served at 7:00 am in the Community Life Center rooms 1 & 2 (CLC). In addition to breakfast, we will hear from visiting Pastor Imbumi Makuku of Kibera Reformed Presbyterian Church of Kibera, Kenya. Invite a friend and bring your sons who are 12 years or older. A $10 donation will be collected for the breakfast expense. Kindly RSVP no later than October 30 by clicking here. Don't forget! Daylight Savings is Sunday, November 5, 2023. Remember to change your clocks on Saturday night as we "fall back" one hour. Sunday School will still begin at 9:00 am, Sunday, November 5, 2023.

Supported Worker Spotlight

Sunday, November 5

Come and enjoy light refreshments and hear from our supported workers, Imbumi and Martha Makuku, in the Community Life Center rooms 1&2 (CLC), on Sunday, November 5, following the evening service. Imbumi and Martha’s ministry, the Mamlaka Foundation, includes a school, a feeding program, and health education at their church, Kibera Reformed Presbyterian Church. They work within the poorest section of the Kibera slum in Silanga Village. All are welcome to join us on November 5, 2023, and hear about the amazing things the Lord is doing through the Makukus in Kenya!

Planning Your Funeral

Thursday, November 9

Over the years, Heritage Funeral Home has served many in the Christ Covenant community. One of their directors will meet with us on Thursday, November 9, at 7:00 pm, in the Community Life Center Chapel (CLC). Heritage Funeral Home staff will discuss planning funerals, prepaying for a burial service, and additional services available during funerals. There will be a question-and-answer time. All are welcome to attend.

Faithful Conference

November 11-12, 2023

Dr. Carl R. Trueman is a Professor of Biblical and Religious Studies at Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania. He earned an M.A. in Classics from the University of Cambridge and a Ph.D. in Church History from the University of Aberdeen. He is the author of more than a dozen books and is the co-host of “The Mortification of Spin” podcast with Todd Pruitt. The podcast is a humorous, informal podcast with engaging and thought-provoking conversations on the challenges facing the Church and the Christian. The podcast is on multiple platforms that can be found at https://mortificationofspin.podbean.com/.


Carl Trueman also contributes to First Things. Firstthings.com publishes thoughtful commentary on vital matters of faith and public life. First Things also publishes a magazine ten times each year, where today’s most influential writers and readers come together to debate the central religious and cultural issues of our time. Carl Trueman is an esteemed church historian and a fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center. He is a member of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church.


We hope you will join us for the Faithful Conference on November 11-12, 2023. Carl Trueman will be speaking on “Strangers in a Strange Land” over four sessions. You can register at faithfulconference.org. The cost is $10 per person, those 18 and younger are free. Paid registrations will receive a $10 off coupon at the bookstore hosted by 10 of Those and a copy of Carl Truman’s book, Strange New World. All registrations must be submitted by Friday, November 10, at noon, to receive the coupon.

Supported Worker Spotlight

Sunday, November 19

All are welcome to join us on Sunday, November 19, at 5:00 pm, in the Community Life Center rooms 1&2 (CLC), to hear from one of our restricted workers serving the Lord in Malaysia! Joining him will be several pastors and elders from Malaysia who are attending The Malaysia Partnership, November 15-18, at Christ Covenant Church. Come and enjoy light refreshments prior to the evening worship service as we learn about the Lord’s faithful work in Malaysia!

Women’s Ministry Christmas Brunch

Thursday, December 7

The annual Women’s Ministry Christmas Brunch will be held this year on Thursday, December 7, from 10:00 am-12:00 pm, in the Community Life Center (CLC). Come join us to enjoy the season together with delicious food, carols, and a special guest speaker! Childcare will be available. The deadline to register is November 22, 2023. A New Touchscreen is in the South Lobby

Christ Covenant Church supports many church planters, ministries, and supported workers from around the world, and now you have an opportunity to learn more about the amazing work the Lord is doing through each of these individuals and organizations! There is a new touchscreen in the south lobby that highlights our supported worker of the week, news and updates from the Outreach and Missions department, and includes a map with all of the locations where our supported workers serve. We hope you will head to the south lobby on Sundays and check out the touchscreen each week for recent prayer requests and other exciting information!

Children's Sunday School Spotlight

During Sunday School this morning, all our children from two years-old to fifth grade are learning about the Reformation. Children will learn about Martin Luther, the hymns he wrote, and the 95 Theses. If you sit near a family with young children, please take a moment to ask the children to share what they learned in Sunday School with you!

Pickup Basketball Fellowship and Outreach
Men's Ministry is starting Pickup Basketball Fellowship and Outreach this spring. We are playing Saturday mornings from 8:00 am - 10:00 am in Christ Covenant's Aux Gym located in the A building (next to the playground).
