GUATEMALA TRAVEL JOURNAL

In July, RWF traveled to Guatemala for our ninth humanitarian aid trip. We deliver medical supplies, school and art supplies, and gender affirming clothing for the trans and drag communities. We distributed financial grants, met with old friends, had great conversations, and made new friends.


Dr. Bill Prince traveled with us and wrote a photo essay about our journey: "I was one of seven lucky travelers from among Rainbow World Fund’s friends and family who toured Guatemala for ten days in July. We learned about the history and culture of Guatemala, toured tourist sites, visited schools, an elder program, spiritual communities, and LGBTQ+ organizations supported by RWF, and loved the food, natural beauty, and hot springs of this amazing country..." HELP DECORATE THE WORLD TREE OF HOPE - NOVEMBER 4-26

The World Tree of Hope is the largest origami holiday tree in the world, decorated with over 17,000 origami cranes and stars, each hand folded and inscribed with wishes for the future of the world. RWF creates the Tree as a symbol of global unity and hope, to promote peace, love, and humanitarian action.


The decorating dates/times at Grace Cathedral (1100 California St., San Francisco) are from Nov. 5-27:

You must register to help! 


We ask that volunteers sign up for a 3 or 4 hour shift. You are welcome to stay longer.
