Interim Grades Submitted and Parent-Teacher Conferences
Interim Grades are now available in ProgressBook, and these grades mark the halfway point of the 3rd Quarter. We recommend you log in to ProgressBook at this time to review your child’s grades and academic progress. If you have concerns or questions about your child’s progress, you are encouraged to contact their teacher(s) directly or their school counselor for assistance.

Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place on Thursday, March 10th. The format utilized during fall conferences will once again be implemented. The first half of the evening will be structured for virtual meetings, with the second half of the night being utilized for in-person conferences. In-person conferences will be held in teacher classrooms. A Sign-Up Genius will be shared with BBHHS families this Wednesday, February 23rd, via email and posted to the BBHHS website for conference registration. The conference registration window will remain open from Wednesday, February 23rd, until 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8th.
Rising Senior Meningitis Vaccination Requirement Notice
Please note that students entering the 12th grade are required by law to receive their second Meningitis vaccination before the first day of school during their senior year. Annual notification is made to ensure families have plenty of time to ensure their child has received the required vaccination before the start of the 2022-2023 school year. If your child has already received the second dose, you may begin submitting your child's updated immunization record to our Health Care Coordinator, Lisa Witzke. If you have questions, don't hesitate to contact Mrs. Lisa Witzke at 440-740-4706 or through email at witzkel@bbhcsd.org.
Girls with Grit Virtual Conference Opportunity
In partnership with It’s A Girl’s Life, the entrepreneurship program at John Carroll University is excited to officially invite our BBHHS students to Girls With Grit, a FREE, school-based webinar-style event. Young women enrolled in grades 7-12 will gather virtually on Tuesday, March 8th to explore the concepts of developing grit, building self-confidence, and strengthening self-awareness. During the morning, students will develop tools to become empowered to handle challenges and setbacks. Participants will receive a companion workbook that complements this program and engage and apply the teachings to their personal lives.

To participate in this conference, please contact Mrs. Randi Borosh by filling out the form below by Monday, February 28th. Please share the link below with students you think maybe a good fit to register for this great free program. Click here to register. Students will receive a confirmation email with further information and program details upon registration.
SAT Day
On Wednesday, March 2nd, we will be administering the SAT exam to all Juniors, while Sophomores will take the Pre-ACT. Our Freshmen class will be visiting CVCC to learn about their programming since they could not attend last year while enrolled in 8th grade due to COVID-19 precautions. They will also have the opportunity to participate in career planning programming provided by CVCC. Seniors do not have to report to school on March 2nd and should use the day to finalize their post-secondary options. The school day will begin at our standard start time of 7:35 a.m., with students reporting directly to their assigned test day locations. Specific test locations will be shared with students via their email account no later than Thursday, February 24th. We anticipate testing to conclude around 11:15 a.m. with student dismissal from school at this time. Please be aware that students are not permitted to be in possession of their cell phone/smart watch during the test administration per College Board test administration guidelines. Cell phones will be collected before the testing period and returned when the test administration has concluded. Transportation routes will run according to our regular schedule, with food services provided starting at 11:15 a.m. Please complete this digital form if you prefer your child not to be granted early release.

High School Transportation OPT-IN form Open Through May 30th
Transportation continues to be an important topic as we approach the 2022-2023 school year, and as we have noted in previous correspondences, your help is important. Accordingly, the District is respectfully asking all high school students who will require transportation to OPT-IN for their transportation needs, by filling out a short, but very important survey. You can find that survey here, and also by visiting the Transportation page of our web site. This transportation OPT-IN will be open and available through May 30th. Once again, all high school students requiring transportation next year will be required to OPT-IN with your needs. Thank you for your support and assistance.
Track and Tennis Court Resurfacing Project
We are excited to share that our track surface and tennis courts will undergo a significant enhancement later this spring season, so that we can install the most optimal competition surface for our student-athletes. These enhancements will begin during the first week of May 2022. Alternate plans for our track-and-field, lacrosse, and physical education classes have been shared with spring sports teams, coaches and teachers to to accommodate this short period of time that overlaps with the start of construction. Thank you for your patience as we work to invest in our facilities with upgrades that will positively impact future generations of Bees and our great communities of Brecksville and Broadview Heights!
