Dear GSPC members and friends,
Yesterday I received a letter of resignation from the Rev. Alexandra Hutson. You may read her letter by clicking the button below. Her last day with us will be Sunday, August 27.
Alexandra began her ministry at GSPC in July 2020 in the middle of COVID, leading worship in an empty sanctuary and attempting to get to know children and youth in outdoor and masked settings. In spite of these challenges, Alexandra approached her ministry with enthusiasm and joy. She adjusted, planned, and re-planned with patience and determination. She has loved our congregation, especially our children and youth, through these three years together. It is a joy that we could celebrate with her and Jacob as they welcomed Elsie Grace earlier this year. We give thanks for the blessings of her ministry and keep her in our prayers as she follows God's call away from her ministry at GSPC in order to focus on the ministry of motherhood.
Endings inevitably bring sadness, but also opportunities to place our trust once again in the one who holds the future. We intend to celebrate Alexandra's ministry and show our affection for her and her family. We will keep you informed as those plans come together.
