Reminder: Upload COVID Booster Vaccine Documentation

All students, faculty, staff and affiliates who are eligible (six months past completing their initial Moderna or Pfizer vaccination; two months past the Johnson & Johnson vaccination) are required to demonstrate that you have had the booster shot by Feb. 4 (or as soon as your eligibility allows). Once you have received a booster, please upload this information to the student or employee portals.

Dr. Martemyanov is Professor and Chair of the Department of Neuroscience at The Scripps Research Institute, Florida Campus. His research focuses on the fundamental principles that regulate signaling via G protein coupled receptors (GPCR).

Dr. Ford is the David and Margaret Turley Grohne Chair in Basic Cancer Research Professor and professor of Pharmacology at University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. She also serves as associate director for Basic Research, University of Colorado Cancer Center.

Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Solomon Carter Fuller, MD

Please join us for a virtual celebration honoring the life and legacy Solomon Carter Fuller, MD, who graduated from BUSM in 1897. The first Black psychiatrist in the country and a renowned neurologist, pathologist and educator, he worked with Dr. Alois Alzheimer and practiced in the Boston area before joining the BUSM faculty in 1919. Upon his retirement from academic medicine in 1933, he was appointed Emeritus Professor of Neurology, and continued in private practice for many years.  

The daylong event is sponsored by the BUSM Departments of Neurology, Psychiatry, Pathology & Laboratory Medicine; Diversity & Inclusion and Alumni Association Offices; and the BU Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center.
