It’s time to recognize Disability Pride Month in honor of the history, achievements, experiences, and struggles of the disabled community.

Every July marks the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, signifying the breaking down of significant barriers to inclusion in our society. This is an opportunity to highlight the support and resources available to help those living with disabilities.

Disability is something nearly all of us will experience at some point in our lives. It’s also a significant identity that defines how we experience the world. The truth is--people with disabilities have been marginalized and misunderstood for generations. All disabilities and their intersecting identities should be acknowledged, valued, and respected, and one way to do that is during Disability Pride Month.

We have a number of resources to share focused on best practices and available research on disability inclusion. View at your leisure below. If you have other resources you would like to share with our members, please email info@nncg.org.
