In Case You Missed It: Cutler Bay's First Vulnerability Assessment Meeting


ICYMI (In Case You Missed It): Yesterday, the first Vulnerability Assessment Public Outreach Meeting took place on September 28, 2023, at Franjo Park. This event was an excellent opportunity for residents to actively engage with the Cutler Bay Comprehensive Vulnerability Assessment and Adaptation Plan funded by a $125,000 grant awarded by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). Attendees received a comprehensive overview of the project's objectives, climate threat assessments, and adaptation strategies, while also participating in discussions and providing valuable input on data analysis methods. Your involvement is crucial in shaping the Town's resilience and sustainability, ensuring that local knowledge and concerns are taken into account. Don't worry if you couldn't attend; more public outreach meetings will be announced soon. You can still share your input through the Cutler Bay Vulnerability Assessment and Adaptation Plan Survey below. Cutler Bay Heroes Honored at First Responders Appreciation Day


Last Thursday, the South Dade Chamber of Commerce hosted a heartwarming First Responders Appreciation Day event. The event's highlight for our Town was the heartfelt recognition of our local heroes. Congratulations to Neighborhood Resource Unit Officer Flerida Renteria, and the Cutler Bay's Fire Rescue Station 34, who were honored with well-deserved awards for their exceptional dedication to the community's safety and well-being. The event served as a powerful reminder of the vital role these heroes play in our lives and underscored the importance of supporting and appreciating our local First Responders. Last Saturday, the Town Council Chambers came alive with the Economic Development Council (EDC)'s Small Business Workshop: "Power Up Your Business: Resources and How to Use Them." Small business owners and entrepreneurs convened to unlock the secrets of success and harness cutting-edge resources, from AI in marketing to essential accounting principles and business viability. The immersive and interactive workshops provided practical knowledge for immediate application, emphasizing engagement and collaboration.
