Vancouver Students Return To The Classroom

Angelika Bendrich has been teaching Psychology of Disease at the Vancouver campus since 2014. Returning to IHN for her 8th energetic year, she leads IHN's revival to campus academics in the classroom. She inspires, and aims to guide students, through the syllabus sharing fascinating aspects of mind/body health. She is compassionate and creative, as she moves through innovative topics, which include but are not limited to, energy medicine, Woundology, chakras, cellular memory and stress, and Meta medicine. After teaching remotely for one year, Angelika is thrilled to be back in the physical space. Being a CNP herself, she recalls the days of being on campus with joy! Before making the decision to return, Angelika polled her students. More than half replied with an emphatic YES to coming back. Students who elected to return were excited to be together again. The classroom has been refitted, with protocols in place, to follow health and safety guidelines. Students who opted to stay online, continue their full participation via Zoom. The hybrid platform, offers IHN students and faculty the benefits of learning in duality!

Simple Ways To Renew Your Energy

Sleeping through the night might make you feel rested, but we are now discovering that sleep and rest are two separate activities with different results on our health. According to Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith, “we’re suffering from a rest deficit because we don’t understand the true power of rest.” In a January 6, 2021, Ted.com article (3 minute read), “The 7 Types Of Rest That Every Person Needs,” we learn about creative, sensory, physical, emotional, and spiritual rest that will restore key areas in your life to make a real difference.

CNPs enjoy dates as a nutritious and sweet alternative to refined sugar. Today, approximately three-quarters of the world’s date crop is grown in the Middle East. They can be eaten alone, fresh or dried, or used in various dishes, baked goods, syrups, desserts, and salads. In some countries, date pits are roasted, ground, and used as a coffee substitute. Dates contain beta-glucan, a soluble dietary fibre that has shown to decrease the body’s absorption of glucose in the small intestine and helps ensure blood sugar levels are balanced.
