Dear Lake Norman Charter Family,
Last night the Board of Education approved the 2022-2023 school calendar which you can see by clicking here or in the grey search bar on the home page at www.lncharter.org. We finalized the school calendar as early as possible as we realize our families need this information in order to plan vacations and other commitments throughout the year.
Please consider the school calendar when planning time away, particularly at the beginning of the school year. As in years past, the majority of our students have their first day of school on a Thursday (August 11, 2022) with our 5th and 9th grade students attending their first day one day prior (August 10, 2022) allowing us to focus on them exclusively as they learn their new school. It is very important that all of our students attend that first day of school as student enrollment is critical to ensuring that students are engaged with their teacher and curriculum in order to be successful from day one. This student enrollment is also crucial to our school’s funding. Thank you for your cooperation in not planning vacations or other time away that conflict with that first day of school.
