Mandatory Trainings on Blackboard: SPARC/TRAC

As part of your new student onboarding activities, you will be asked to participate in one or more modules through this Blackboard course. You will need to activate your SU NetID and can check the status in your ESF Portal. Once you have activated your Syracuse University login information, you can login to Blackboard here

As part of state and federal law, we are required to provide prevention education on several topics. Completion of these learning modules and surveys are required. You will be notified via your syr.edu email which course(s) you will be expected to take and the associated deadlines. Ensure that you fill out the form below the modules to confirm your completion.

SPARC (Sexual and Interpersonal Violence Prevention and Response Course) is an interactive course designed to assist new ESF students in understanding College policy/response related to sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, and stalking. Included in this course will be an overview of bystander intervention, campus and community resources available to ESF students, and how to assist someone who may be experiencing these behaviors.

TRAC (Training in Responsible Alcohol Consumption) is designed to provide important content and strategies to help you make informed and safe decisions around alcohol and other drugs. Highlighted in this course is information about how alcohol affects your body, the relationships people have with substances, and creating a plan for yourself. TRAC will also explore the relationship that people can form with alcohol and how to integrate all of this into your decision-making.
