Issue 23
FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK
Dear Families,

Wow! It is February already! This year, in some ways, has gone by so quickly and in others, somewhat slowly. I hope the start of this new month finds you healthy and well.

We are pleased to report that our first week with 6th grade Roomers has gone quite well. It was fantastic to see the bright, shiny faces of our youngest students and to feel their energy on campus. Our teachers and staff worked tirelessly to ensure a safe and smooth start to this unique educational setting. Thank you to all of those that supported our efforts in this.

Thank you all for your continued support! We are truly grateful.

Take care and stay well.

Mary Lonhart
Principal
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR
PARENTS OF STUDENTS ON CAMPUS
Daily Symptom Self-Check Email

Each day that your child physically reports to Fisher campus, please complete the Symptom Self check form you receive daily in your email. The first email is sent at 6:30am with a follow up email sent at 7:30am.

This is one of our COVID-19 safety protocols, required for a student to be on campus.

The message will come from msg@lgusd.org. It is a quick, 5 question yes/no form. If you are not receiving this daily Self-Symptom check email, please contact the school office.

Students will not be allowed on campus without the Self-Symptom check has not been completed.
Coming Late/Leaving Early/Appointments

Please do your very best to schedule all appointments after 3pm. When students arrive late or need to leave early due to appointments, it can compromise our safety protocol plan.
Grab-n-Go Lunches

As your child leaves campus each day, they are welcome to grab a lunch to go, at no cost. These lunches are near the gate where they entered campus.

  • Grab-n-Go lunches will be available for all students at each campus exit gate Monday-Friday 10:55-11:15. The tables are marked by menu item and students can grab a breakfast snack/lunch to eat at home. These meals are complementary for all students.
  • Complementary meals are also available for drive through pick up at Fisher. The hours have changed slightly and will be open from 11:30-1:00 daily Monday-Friday.
  • For any special dietary needs, please contact Lupe Pena directly at lpena@lgusd.org.
  • Menu and meal schedule will be published weekly on Wednesdays so that you may plan ahead.
