Dear TBZ community,
This Pesach is once again different from all others. The Covid pandemic continues to necessitate that we remain physically separate while connecting in creative ways. Some of you may be gathering, for the first time in person, with family and friends after having been vaccinated. And for some of us, this holiday continues to bring its challenges as we celebrate separated from loved ones.
We hope and we pray that the holiday brings blessing to all of you no matter where you are.
Perhaps more than ever, Passover is the holiday we need. This weekend we retell the story of our communal Exodus from Egypt, and this weekend we can also tell our present story — a journey of confinement, of loss, of separation toward hope. Passover reminds us that it is possible to move from slavery to freedom, from mourning to celebration.
From last Passover to this Passover so much has happened. We have been witness not only to a year of pandemic, but also to the continuing, and dangerous power of racism, the destructive force of misinformation,
the strength and the fragility of democracy, and the profound grief, loss, and isolation of quarantine. Passover is here to remind us that hope, love, liberation and redemption are at hand.
We, the TBZ spiritual and professional team and the lay-leadership, feel blessed to be part of this wonderful community. Our families join us in wishing you a sweet and healthy Pesach.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you need any support.
We wish you blessings, sweetness, a meaningful holiday and joy and health to all of you,
