Emergency Response & Incident Command (ERIC)
Disaster Recovery Project Management Program

With winter rapidly approaching, we know that frigid temperatures are right around the corner, creating an ideal environment for pipes to burst and other weather-related disasters to occur. Now is the perfect time to get your property enrolled in our Emergency Response Incident Command (ERIC) Program. It costs nothing to join! This program provides your property with a one-call system, available 24/7, to ensure the rapid response and restoration services your building may need.

The ERIC Disaster Recovery Project Management Program provides a one call system to properly protect first responders and facility occupants’ health and safety as well as the value and reputation of your real estate asset when a disaster occurs.

Hygieneering, Inc. has partnered with G3 Construction Group to support turnkey environmental mitigation, safety and comprehensive restoration services that bring disaster stricken properties safely and quickly back to a preexisting condition while reducing our clients involvement and liability that is associated with a disaster incident.

When engaged, our ERIC™ teams rapidly deploy and professionally manage all required emergency response and restoration resources to bring a facility back to a pre-incident condition in the most time efficient manner while within strict compliance with insurance industry guidelines.

Our staff of Certified Industrial Hygienists, Certified Safety Professionals, Certified Hazardous Materials Managers and other environmental professionals are on call to assist you with your emergency including:

  • Hazardous material spill health, safety and environmental evaluation and response.

Project Spotlight
Corporate Safety Culture Assessment & Analysis
Hygieneering recently completed a Safety Culture Assessment and Analysis for a major railway company within their North US Region for their Engineering group. The assessment included the major craft groups represented with the railway system and were conducted in separate groups without supervisory attendance and participation. The goal was to receive un-filtered and anonymous responses from the employees to assist the company in reviewing the perceived safety culture.

Hygieneering compiled the data received from over 100 employees that actively participated in the culture assessment. A participation rate of 80%-90% was achieved and an overall positive response rate was identified. This information was presented to the company in a detailed report so that they could continue to improve the overall safety culture.

The Healthy Building Institute
Recently Verified Buildings
The following organizations are committed to maintaining their buildings in accordance with healthy building guidance established by OSHA, EPA, ASHRAE, AIHA and the CDC. As part of this commitment, they have engaged the Healthy Building Institute’s (HBI) – Healthy Building Verification Program.
The Healthy Building Verification (HBV) Program has provided a high-level 3rd party review of these buildings' operations as related to indoor air quality, drinking water quality and surface cleanliness. These facilities' participation within the HBI-HBV program documents their commitment and compliance with healthy building guidance and professionally assists in assuring its building occupant’s that their building is providing Healthy Air to Breath, Water to Drink and Surfaces to Touch in this current COVID -19 world and beyond.

Compliance Reminders
This is a friendly reminder that:

US DOT requires complete training for hazmat employees once every three years (49 CFR 172.704).

US EPA requires annual training for hazardous waste personnel (40 CFR 262.17).
US OSHA requires annual training for general site workers engaged in hazardous waste operations (29 CFR 1910.(e)(9) as well as emergency response employees (29 CFR 1910.120(q)(8).

OSHA states that each powered industrial vehicle operator must initially be trained and evaluated and operator’s performance must be evaluated at least once every 3 years. Hygieneering provides initial and refresher training for operators of powered industrial vehicles.
