Deerpath/Rte. 41 Pump Station Project Updates

On Deerpath Golf Course: The 2 ponds are being excavated, weather permitting.

At the southeast corner:  Sheet piling installation should be completed next week, weather permitting.

At the northwest corner:  A boring pit was excavated at the southbound Rte. 41 exit at Deerpath. This is where the contractor will be directional boring a pipe under Rte. 41, the bike path, and the Union Pacific freight train line. The exit ramp will be temporarily closed when the drainage pipe for the west pond at the Deerpath Golf Course is installed.

Contractors are working from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on weekdays.

Check the City's website for additional information, and thank you for your patience during this important project!
School Superintendent Search

The Lake Forest Elementary District 67 and Lake Forest Community High School District 115 Boards of Education have initiated a search for a new superintendent of schools. The Boards are eager to tailor the search to the specific needs of our community.

The Boards are conducting a short survey to better understand local perspectives regarding the perceived strengths of District 67 and 115 schools, challenges the Districts are facing, professional and personal characteristics the community would like to see in a new superintendent, and recommended priorities for the new leader.

Residents of the Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, and Knollwood communities are invited to take this survey to ensure that their perspectives are considered throughout the search process. The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete and will remain open to the communities until 5 p.m. on Monday, February 15.
