Group Fitness Class Descriptions
Barre – A high energy fitness experience that fuses exercise techniques from Pilates, body sculpting, ballet, and yoga. This full body workout incorporates weights, exercise balls and mat exercises. It is perfect for people of all fitness and experience levels.

Body Sculpting – Using a variety of equipment, instructors will take you through a workout that will challenge all the major muscle groups! This class is designed to strengthen and tone your entire body.

Dance Fitness - A full body workout that is a lot of fun. Focus is on cardiovascular exercise as well as toning. Instructors incorporate different styles of dance, fitness moves, and music to optimize your Dance Fitness experience. Choreography is simple and easy to learn, with a combination of dance styles, including Latin rhythms, Hip Hop, and Country, just to name a few. A “Happy Hour” guaranteed to make you sweat, smile, and feel great! Please join us! This isn’t your Mama’s Zumba!

Free Movement Dance Class – Give yourself permission to leave your busy mind and let your body flow through breath, expression, and motion. Free movement allows us to connect on an energetic and somatic (or body) level. There is no thinking with free movement – no specific form or pose. This class is for anyone who wants to relieve stress, increase cardio, connect with the body, and enjoy sound and breath. Bring water, a towel, and a yoga mat for the beginning & end of class, but this is not a yoga class. Barefooting is encouraged but not required. Each class begins with a short meditation breath to body connection and ends in stillness (Savasana).

Functional Fitness, Balance, and Fall Prevention – Participants may use a chair, cane, or walker as needed. Class includes warm-up, functional strengthening, fall prevention, stretching, and cool-down. Class uses small weights and resistance bands to improve mobility, stability, strength, coordination, and balance. Gain confidence in staying on your feet, build strength, and practice negotiating obstacles and walking patterns to improve agility, balance, coordination, and reaction times.

Gentle Flow Yoga – Practice gentle asana sequences to calm the mind, open the body and strengthen form. Breathing techniques and props will help connect to a core base movement. Each session ends in connection to our energy centers and savasana. This class is suitable for all levels, including beginners.

SilverSneakers Classic – Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscle strength, range of movement and activities for daily living.

SilverSneakers Circuit – This standing class alternates upper-body strength work with low-impact cardio to maximize fitness benefits.

SilverSneakers Yoga – Get ready to move through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered so you can perform a variety of seated and standing postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement.

Spinning – This indoor cycling class provides all the terrain you need - hills, climbs, flats, and more! Spin helps you increase strength and endurance and is easy on the joints. Arrive early to get your bike adjusted.

Tai Chi – Known as moving meditation and can be done by anyone. This form (based on Sun Style & some Chen) is extremely gentle on joints and increases strength in the back and abdominal muscles. It is excellent for balance, easing stress, relaxing, and invigorating the body all while quieting the mind.

TRX – This class is one of the most effective and innovative ways to challenge core strength and stability while building muscle and increasing cardiovascular endurance using TRX suspension straps.

Yoga – Practice various poses and sequences designed to improve strength, flexibility, and mindfulness. This class is suitable for all levels, including beginners.

Zumba – A Latin inspired cardio-dance workout. No special skills required. Join the party!
